We are thrilled to be hiring qualified Special Education (SEN) Teaching Assistants to work as supply in schools in Aberdare. The ideal candidate needs to be hardworking and committed to their role. Further to this, Teaching Assistants may be required to work with children on a one to one basis or support them with additional needs. Therefore candidates are expected to provide support in various ways.

These vacancies cover planned and unplanned absences such as sicknesses, maternity, paternity and courses. Therefore, you may be called to work the same day and should be prepared for early morning calls.

Educational Requirements

VES are looking for Teaching Assistants with ONE OF the following qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
  • CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning.
  • CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 in CCLD.
  • Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social.
  • BA Hons Childhood Degree.
Experience working with challenging behaviours, with additional learning needs or in a 1 to 1 setting is required for this type of position.
