Teaching Assistants – Aberdare, RCT

Overview

VES is looking to appoint qualified Teaching Assistants, to work in schools in the  Aberdare RCT area.  The candidate needs to be hardworking and committed to their role within the classroom. Teaching Assistants may be required to work with children on a one to one basis, as well as in small groups, so it is vital that the candidates for these roles can be open to various methods of providing support. These vacancies are to cover planned and unplanned absences such as sicknesses, maternity, paternity and courses.

All staff and candidates must be aware of VES’ Safeguarding Policy and follow all procedures to protect children and vulnerable adults. VES are committed to protecting children and vulnerable adults through a careful recruitment and selection process, a whistle-blowing policy and guidance on appropriate behaviour. Educational Requirements

VES are looking for Teaching Assistants with ONE OF the following qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant.
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
  • CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning.
  • CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 in CCLD.
  • Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social.
  • BA Hons Childhood Degree.
